Parameters Reference

Request Parameters

model - Model ID (use "seedance-2-0")
inputs.prompt - Text description of the video (required for text-to-video, optional for image-to-video)
inputs.duration - Video length: 4s, 5s, 8s, 10s, or 15s
inputs.aspectRatio - Aspect ratio: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 21:9
inputs.resolution - 480p, 720p, 1080p
inputs.urls - Array of 1-2 image URLs for image-to-video

Resolution Options

480p - official resolution label
720p - official resolution label
1080p - official resolution label
Actual output width and height depend on the selected aspectRatio.

When status is 'fail', the response includes an errorCode field for programmatic handling:

Everything you need to know about the Image To Video API

When did the API launch?

The Image To Video API launched on February 20, 2026. Join our Discord for updates and support.

What video models are available?

The API provides ByteDance Image To Video with text-to-video and image-to-video, multiple resolutions and durations (4s–15s).

How is API usage billed?

Credits are deducted per second of generated video. Image To Video is 22 credits/sec (e.g. 5s = 110 credits, 10s = 220). See the pricing page for details.

What's the maximum video length?

Up to 15 seconds per request. Supported durations are 4s, 5s, 8s, 10s, and 15s.

Is there a free tier?

Yes. New users get a free allowance. For more free credits, join our Discord or email the admin.

What resolutions are supported?

Multiple aspect ratios (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4) and common resolutions for landscape, portrait, or square.
